Working as a volunteer or steward at Saltburn:
At Saltburn Folk Festival we are always looking for people to assist in a variety of roles in order that the festival can move forward and be the best in its class.
The festival is evolving to address the needs of younger folkies and so we need our volunteer team to consist of a wide range of age groups.
In recognition of their services all our volunteers and stewards receive a non transferable season ticket and a pitch on the campsite.
Volunteers and stewards are involved if a range of duties, from being venue managers, organising venue auditoria & seating, directing audiences, taking money/using card terminals for event tickets at venues, serving in food and licensed outlets, assisting with venue fit-up and take-down, assisting in the box office, undertaking risk assessments, assisting the campsite manager and lots more.
You can expect to work between 8 and 10 hours over the whole festival from Thursday 12:00 noon to Monday 12:00 noon. Where possible you will be allocated tasks that allow you to see your favourite performers and you will be able to enter the competitions, should you fulfil the requirements.
The first line of enquiry is to our Director of Volunteers, Marj Inganni at:
We need to know your strengths and whether you have undertaken this sort of work at other festivals. However, if you are new to the role you are equally welcome to apply, because we need new people to train and become involved with folk music.
We look forward to hearing from you.
